I joined the staff of Good Shepherd Cluster as the bookkeeper in January 2019. It has been tagged as the “opportunity of a lifetime” and I am beyond excited to work with such great staff and parishioners. Previous to this, I worked for the Department of Human Services, State of Iowa, for 17+ years.
The New Hampton area has been my home for most of my life (except for the 12 years after high school when I called Iowa City home). I attended St Joseph’s Community School and graduated from New Hampton High School in 1989. I graduated from the University of Iowa in 1993. My husband, Greg, and I were married in 2001 and have two boys, Kyle and Kaeden. Greg is self-employed as an OTR truck driver. Our boys are also alumni of St. Joseph Community School. While the boys attended St Joseph Community School, you found me volunteering with the Friends of St Joseph parent group and did whatever I could to help out.
What do I do in my free time? I follow our boys in all of their activities: Boy Scouts, Trapshooting, FFA, etc. When there is time for myself, I enjoy antique and primitive décor shopping, quilting, baking, and travelling the countryside. My bucket list includes visiting all the National Parks in the United States … We’ve been to Yellowstone and have a few more to go!
