The mission of Jesus
(when He came to earth)
was to be one of us
and to be one with us
that we might come to know, love, and serve God
and be one with Him.
Through His life,
death,
and resurrection,
He accomplished all that He had come to do.
When He ascended into heaven,
His mission did not end.
It was passed on to His apostles:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always,
to the end of the age.”
(Matthew 28: 18-20)
The “age” is not ended.
We have now been commissioned
to continue what has been passed onto us.
Today is our “age”.
All Christ’s faithful are called to hand it on
from generation to generation
through Faith Formation
which is an education in the faith
of children,
of young adults,
and of adults
that will assist in the “transformation”
of those who hear the message;
the same proclamation made by the apostles
and handed on to those
who would then share it with others.
Faith Formation classes for students in kindergarten through eighth grade are offered during the school year on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:45 PM at Holy Family beginning in the Gathering Space. Registration materials are sent to families in August along with a printed schedule of classes for the year.
