Elections

*The Pastoral Council is made up of five committees with specific responsibilities.*

• Building and Grounds (2 members): Recognize and facilitate the upkeep of the Church and its grounds (primarily larger projects and not the general maintenance). This person will also attend Building and Grounds meetings as needed.

• At Large (2 members): This person(s) is not assigned to a specific committee but will assist where needed on other committees.

The individual parish Pastoral Council for Holy Family in New Hampton is responsible for assisting the pastor and staff in planning for the future. Each person has a term of three (3) years and is eligible to run for two (2) consecutive terms.

If you have served two (2) consecutive terms, you are able to run again after 1 year off. Some members will also serve on the Cluster Pastoral Council. Pastoral Council meetings are held 4 times per year on the 2 nd Tuesday of the month.

Those eligible to be elected: 1) All confirmed Catholics in good standing with the Catholic Church, 2) Are members of the parish you are wishing to serve on, 3) 18 years or older, and 4) Staff members and spouses cannot be elected members.

Finance Council is an advisory body to the Pastor and Pastoral Council regarding administration, human resources, facilities, finances, budget, and long-range financial development. Members are appointed by the Pastor.

Parishioners will have an opportunity to submit nominations to fill outgoing members. Nomination forms are due back by Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Please spend some time in prayer as you consider who might best serve God as leaders in Holy Family Parish. Elections will take place the weekend of June 1 st /2 nd .
