Each summer our Good Shepherd Cluster plans a mission trip for our high school students. During this week our youth have helped those in residential areas by providing general interior/exterior home repairs, landscaping, and a variety of other duties requested; assisting with summer educational programs; and packaging meals for the homeless in surrounding areas. Location for 2022 is yet to be determined.
The cost per person is approximately $450.00. A deposit of $100 is requested for each student interested in going. Fundraising will take place to help offset the remainder of the cost. Details will be emailed to those interested in going on the mission trip.
In past years, the students have coordinated their mission trips through Catholic Heart Work Camp.

The purpose for NCYC is for our youth to not feel embarrassed by their faith, but rather learn how to come together to embrace the richness of Catholicism. During these three days, our youth will explore the Inactive Village, attend a concert, participate in service projects, and listen to Catholic speakers on topics ranging from balancing faith, sports, & school to learning how to date & build mature relationships, to developing ways to deepen their existing faith.
This national event is held every other year in Indianapolis, Indiana and open to all 9-12 graders. We will not be attending NCYC 2021 due to the pending pandemic.
