Baptism is the doorway that leads to other sacraments. Through Baptism we are reborn into the family of God. We become members of the Church. We are given the mission to become followers of Jesus Christ.
Baptismal preparation programs are available for infants and adults. For older children and adults, special preparation will be designed depending on the needs of the individual. Contact the Pastoral Center for more information.
To obtain a copy of a sacramental record from any of the Good Shepherd Cluster parishes, please contact the Pastoral Office.
In order for a child to be baptized at Good Shepherd Cluster, parents are asked to attend a Baptismal class prior to the Baptism.
Ordinarily, infants are baptized in the parish community where the parents attend mass. If the parents are registered in a parish other than one of Good Shepherd Cluster parishes, parents must obtain a letter from their own pastor stating that the parents have completed baptismal classes and gives permission for the baptism to take place at one of our parishes. If the parents are not a member of another parish and would like to join a parish of Good Shepherd Cluster, please contact the Pastoral Center.
Baptismal Classes are held once a month. Please contact Deacon Vic DeSloover @ 563-429-2773 for more information.
